Y’all this journey never ceases to amaze me. I’ve told y’all before…. When I started this project, I was like, “Ok well I’m sure some Minden friends, my parents and my siblings will like my photos and will want to see the progress.” But then something strange and unexpected happened. A few people started following along, then a few more and before I knew it Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Living, Cottages and Bungalows and others shared my house on their Instagram feeds. And very quickly Genesis 50:20 became very evident and very real in my life. What was meant to harm me has turned around and produced SO MUCH GOOD. I seriously thank Jesus EVERY SINGLE DAY for my story and for truly redeeming all my pain.
And now enter Decor Steals. Constantly I am asked where I purchased this or that. And as you guys know, MOST of my decor finds are from thrift stores, yard sales and the side of the road. So they truly are one of a kind items. A few months back, Decor Steals reached out to see if I would be interested in curating a decor collection in celebration of their 10th anniversary. And I was like, “WHO ME?” I’m not a designer y’all….. I’m just plain ole me who likes simple, classy things. But I got to thinking… What if Decor Steals could source some similar items that are Simply Southern Cottage inspired?! And y’all, that’s exactly what they did and I couldn’t be more thrilled and excited!!!
And here is my custom curated collection from Decor Steals and the inspiration behind them! (Click the photos or headings to be taken to the Decor Steals page!) If you are not familiar with Decor Steals, they offer amazing and unique decor items at prices that are a “steal” and once they are gone, THEY GONE! 😉 So if any of these interest you at all, don’t hesitate because it’s unlikely Decor Steals will offer these again soon.
This collection is unbelievable and I’m absolutely floored Decor Steals chose to work with me! I mean, WHAT IS THIS LIFE?! If you guys are looking for some unique, cottage inspired Christmas gifts for some special someones in your life, I hope you will consider some of these Simply Southern Cottage inspired items. And if these go over well, maybe we can talk Decor Steals into sourcing more of my garage sale finds! As always, thank you guys SO much for loving me so well and for hanging out with me day in and day out. I’m so so grateful for each of you for helping me turn a very ugly part part of my story into something so beautiful. xx
Love the baskets ? & Candlesticks…Love watching your stories
Oh thank you so much!!
I think you mean wrought iron not rod iron. Congratulations on your new venture. Love your blog!
Sara, love everything you do! You have a great “eye” and follow your heart!
Thank you Leanne! We’ve come a long way baby. ❤️
Yes ,it is wrought iron. Rod iron is used to make nails. This seems to be a common misuse of the word with the younger generation. I see it on a lot of blogs. I believe it’s because things look like rods???
The fans are so neat, and so useful in the south!
So proud for you Sara, once again God has a plan for your life!
