5 Essentials to Create a Cozy, Outdoor Space for Fall

While I love being outside almost anytime, being outside in the crisp, cool fall air is my all-time favorite. The weather is cooler, the leaves are changing colors, and it feels great to spend time outdoors. I’ve created some extra cozy outdoor spaces over the years and would love to teach you how to also! Here are five ways to make your outdoor space cozy for fall.

Add a Fire Pit

Is it even fall if you don’t have a little fire blazing on your porch or patio? A Solo Stove is a perfect addition to your outdoor space. It’s a special kind of fire pit that is easy to use and creates a lot of heat. You can gather around it with friends and family, roast marshmallows, and enjoy the warmth on cool fall nights. The best part is that it doesn’t create a lot of smoke, so you can enjoy the fire without getting smoke in your face or in your hair! 🙂

Hang String Lights

String lights are a great way to make your outdoor space feel magical. You can hang them on trees, fences, or even around your porch. They create a soft, warm light that makes everything look cozy and inviting. Plus, they are easy to set up and don’t cost much money. You can even get solar-powered ones, so you don’t have to worry about plugging them in. I have string lights on my back porch and at The Villas at Spanish Court. I’m considering adding them to my front porch. Hmmmm, should I? 🤔

Set Up Adirondack Chairs

Adirondack chairs are perfect for relaxing outdoors. They have a classic look and are very comfortable. You can put a few around your Solo Stove or scatter them around your yard. They come in many colors, so you can pick ones that match your style. To make them even cozier, add some soft cushions or throw pillows.

Use Cozy Blankets

Nothing says cozy like a warm blanket. Keep a few blankets outside so you can wrap up on chilly evenings. You can drape them over your Adirondack chairs or keep them in a basket nearby. Look for blankets made of fleece or wool, as they are extra warm. Having blankets outside makes it easy to stay comfortable and enjoy the fresh air.

Decorate with Fall Plants and Pumpkins

Adding some fall plants and pumpkins can really make your outdoor space feel like fall. Mums are a great choice because they come in many colors and are easy to care for. You can also use pumpkins of different sizes and colors to decorate your porch or yard. Don’t forget to add some hay bales or corn stalks for an extra touch of fall fun.

Creating a cozy outdoor space for fall doesn’t have to be hard. With a Solo Stove, string lights, Adirondack chairs, cozy blankets, and some fall decorations, you can make your yard or porch a perfect place to relax and enjoy the season. Invite your friends and family over, sit back, and enjoy the crisp fall air in your new cozy space!
