Step into Barbie’s World as you enter the Fuller House Upper Room. The loft is designed with pink decor and accessories and you will feel like you’ve stepped right into Barbie’s actual dream home. I carefully selected all design elements like the pink decor, wallpaper, and retro appliances, like the microwave and refrigerator. All these elements help to create the Barbie Dream House feel in this little loft.

Rich History

The Fuller House Upper Room is not your typical Airbnb. It has a rich history that dates back to 1905. This loft was carefully designed and built on-site in the backyard of the historic Fuller-White House as seen on Magnolia Network’s In With The Old: Minden’s Mysterious Yellow House. Staying in this Barbie-inspired loft will not only transport you into Barbie’s world, but it also takes you back to a simpler time.

The Renovation

Don’t be quick to run from abandoned properties. There is so much beauty in the broken. During the 1950s, the inside of this carriage house actually burned (the story says the property caretaker was smoking a cigarette), and has been vacant ever since. My team remediated all the burned material and put the pieces back together. We installed all new studs, flooring, and insulation. I put salvaged bamboo tiles (from the Moreland Homeplace) on the ceiling after we painted them pink and white. We installed new kitchen cabinets. I found the new bathroom fixtures at Vintage Tub & Bath. And you know I had to add some fun wallpaper! All of the pink decor and accessories just give it a fun and timeless touch.
