Lynnette’s Story of Grace, Forgiveness, Faith and Hope: Part Four: Key Takeaways

Lynnette is one of my MOST favorite people on this entire planet!  I have watched her grow and fight battle after battle while retaining her dignity and faith. We can ALL learn from Lynnette’s story. (If you missed the first three parts, click here to start from the beginning.)

Here are a few key takeaways we garner from Lynnette’s bravery and honesty.

  1. Lynnette CHOSE to NOT let circumstances define her. Lynnette has been beat down time and time again.  Rather than become a victim of her circumstances, she has chosen to triumph and thrive.  She refuses to allow her situation to control her destiny.  She fights back and she fights back hard.
  1. Lynnette recognizes the Lord is authoring her steps.  When you are required to walk the path of loss and devastation, there often is absolutely NO rhyme or reason for WHY.  It’s probable you may never know the reason this side of heaven, but sometimes, the Lord allows you to trace His hand and SEE the WHY behind devastation.  In Lynnette’s story, the Lord provided a kind, caring husband and a considerate employer for her season of battling cancer.  Lynnette did not become pregnant during her first marriage, but was blessed beyond measure with her precious daughter when she married Michael.  Unbeknownst to Lynnette, the Lord provided a beautiful home where long, lost, precious friends “happened” to be the neighbors.  There is nothing more I love than to see God showing out.  And the Lord allows Lynnette to see His handiwork at its finest!
  1. Lynnette chooses to love others well even while walking through fire in her own life. This is a part Lynnette didn’t tell you, but I can attest to. Lynnette was freshly removed from her first marriage when the Lord allowed our paths to supernaturally cross. Because I walked through a VERY similar situation and Lynnette walked the path before me, she knew EXACTLY the Godly advice and wisdom I needed to hear.  She has TIRELESSLY guided me and poured into me even in the middle of her mess.  She has been completely unselfish with her time and wisdom.  The Lord anoints her words and has allowed beauty to FLOW from her ashes.
  1. Lynnette has not lost her faith. There have been MANY times I’ve questioned God and have been angry with Him.  Lynnette is no different.  The enemy seeks to consume her with fear and doubt, especially in her current season of battling breast cancer, but she remains adamant in her faith and stays close and in tune with our Father.  She has SEEN His miraculous works first hand and holds tightly to His promises.  It would have been SO easy for Lynnette to turn her back on her faith.  But she remains true to our Father and He continuously holds her up with His victorious right hand.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

If Lynnette’s story blessed your heart as it has mine, please leave her a comment below OR connect with her via Instagram (@guavaberry75), Twitter (@lynnettethacker) or email lynnettemt@hotmail.com.  And, I beg you, please add Lynnette to your prayer list.  The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 1:11“You are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.” (NLT)  Let’s lift up so many prayers for my sweet Lynnette so in 20 years or so, she can return to this post and tell us all about her grandchildren.  Love to all of you!

Sara, thank you for sharing Linnette’s story with us. You both are such testimonies to God’s care. My divorce was hard, my husband left after 37 years of marriage. Who does that? But I saw His hand thru it all and I was grateful my children were grown. Our God doesn’t make mistakes, e brings us thru.

Dear Lynette, Thank you for sharing your story and your continued journey. You truly are a faithful woman of God. I am praying for you and healing through this time of your current breast cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment. Sometimes we all question why God’s plan is different than we had planned for our life but he knows what is our path. We must continue to walk his righteous path and our continued strength will come from him,, our Lord. It is truly hard to imagine what it must have been to be nailed to the cross and how his faith never ceased. Praise God that we who believe will have everlasting life. God bless you Lynette! Continued prayers for you, your loved ones during this time of recovery and healing. God is so good! With love and healing prayers, Debbie
